Influencing and Persuasion Skills


Purpose of the workshop: To understand and practice the skills that will ensure that you can build support for your ideas, and through the use of influence and persuasion get the best possible outcomes for your business.


Learning outcomes: 

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • have discussed why the ability to influence and persuade is vital to business success.
  • be aware of the eight different influencing styles and how to adapt to them
  • Understand the 5 steps to successful influencing 
  • have practiced the skills and behaviours required to successfully influence, including:

- Building rapport

- listening techniques

- Modelling positive behaviour

- Identifying other people's motivators

- Communicating the message 

- Handling resistance 

- Securing an agreement

  • be able to access ongoing support via the online Morgan Duell Learning Group
